Bucas Grande Accommodation: Club Tara Resort
Nestled in one of Bucas Grande‘s many coves, Club Tara provide an idyllic spot for honeymooners. The row of casitas standing far apart from each other not only give guests privacy, but also allow for a very beautiful sight as guests approach from the sea.
Each casita has a spacious air-conditioned bedroom with a king-sized bed, a personal ref, a tv set, a dvd player, and a hot and cold shower.
Charmingly designed originally for Korean honeymooners, the casitas feature an open shower area and a jacuzzi pool for two with windows that looks out into the resort’s private blue lagoon.
Guests need not go far to experience paradise. The bedrooms open up to a balcony with a see through glass for peering into the waters below.
The best time to visit is during the summer months (March-May), when hundreds of stingless jelly fish take refuge in the resorts private blue lagoon.
Getting There:
From Surigao Airport, take the bus or the van from Surigao Bus Terminal to Hayangbon Pier (nearest pier from the resort). Then take a boat to take you to the island from the pier. It will take about 1.5 hour land travel to the pier and another 30 – 40 minutes to the resort by boat depending on sea condition.

VERDICT:
GOOD: very private
BAD: considering its location, guests should keep in mind that not all resort facilities, such as the resort bar/restaurant,etc. may be in operation 24 hours. Food choices may also be limited, so it is best to coordinate in advance – the same goes for leisure facilities (water sports/kayaking/snorkelling/diving) too. open-bathroom is not family/kid friendly.

The place looks nice and I like the idea of having a private casita. But if 11,000 is only for an overnight stay, di pa kaya ng bulsa ko hehehe
apir! i wouldn’t really splurge for an accommodation as luxurious as this. except nalang for my own honeymoon. hehehe we just visited as part of the island-hopping tour.. in fairness, maganda sya.
love the way they designed the roofs. medyo pricey nga lang. hope they could lower the rates though
they have bamboo cottages on stilts that go for P2500 per night.. still a bit pricey but thats what you pay to get a little bit of heaven. hehehe wasn’t able to see their interiors though.
This looks very serene and beautiful. The water looks so crystal clear. It must be teeming with vibrant sea life. I think I would love the snorkeling. It sure looks like a happy place to be!

The stingless jellyfish (ala palau) of bucas grande came up on our conversation last weekend and got me wanting to explore the place and I came here and lo and behold, you have a post on it. The place looks good but I also think the casita is too expensive for the what it is, I think. Baka pwede na yung P2,500 na cottage. Great post.
You are right. Their rate is just too much. But the stingless jellyfish is cool. Who would think we also have this in the country.

There are cheaper accommodations at the poblacion. But this place is beautiful and perfect for those who can afford it.

Would like to ask about your boat rental to club tara. Where did you find the boat for rent? Based on my research, boat fare is at 1,500/head. Would you know any cheaper options available?

yup, masyadong mahal ang rate nila. pero they give discounts naman ata lalo na kapag off peak season.
